The MixPro™ line of
top entry gear drive agitators provides customers
with a robust, reliable agitation source for high
production industrial environments. The durable
non-proprietary reducer utilizes parallel helical
gearing and was designed specifically for mixer
applications. Our popular ‘GTH’ design
utilizes process matched wet ends for optimum agitation
solutions. The ruggedness of the unit has proven
itself in abusive applications, consequently minimizing
downtime.
This established MixPro™ design is widely
recognized by industry as a leader in top entry
agitation equipment.
Features &
Benefits
• The agitator drive
is comprised of a robust non-proprietary reducer
which utilizes parallel helical gearing and has
a minimum mechanical service factor of 1.5. The
thermal rating of the reducer exceeds the mechanical
rating of the reducer. Larger service factors
are
available upon request.
• The low speed shaft drywell feature provides
a positive leak prevention of the unit oil sump
to eliminate product contamination.
• Upper reducer seals are grease purgeable
to prevent contaminants from destroying the seals
and entering the unit.
• The reducer housing design allows oil
from all bearing cavities to be drained through
the sump during routine maintenance.
• Tapered bushing feature provides for easy
installation and removal of the mixer shaft while
still ensuring a tight connection.
• Three bearing low speed shaft design is
supplied to provide greater stability and load
carrying capacities which are typical requirements
in mixer applications.
• Self aligning double row spherical roller
bearing allows for a higher degree of angular
deflection of the drive shaft.
• Wide low speed shaft bearing span allows
for greater radial load capacity (ie. greater
bending moment capacity). Also, the reducer is
sized to accommodate these dynamic loads and provide
a minimum bearing L-10 life of 100,000 hours.
• The agitator drive head is available in
a variety of configurations, matched to the application
(ie. flange mount, plate mount, with tank seal,
without tank seal, etc.).
• Optional tank seal is intricate to the
reducer housing, eliminating shaft misalignment
during installation.
• OSHA guarding is standard for increased
safety.
• Readily accessible lubrication and inspection
points are incorporated into the design for increased
maintenance serviceability.
